3-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari
The 3-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari is a short safari to Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.
The park is part of the wider Virunga Conservation Area and offers travelers the chance to trek into the misty rainforest and spend one magical hour observing a habituated gorilla family. Beyond gorilla trekking, the journey includes Rwanda’s famous “land of a thousand hills” scenery, cultural encounters in local villages, and optional visits to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village or the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Arrive at Kigali International Airport.

Transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and group allocation.
Begin your trek through rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes.
Spend one unforgettable hour with a mountain gorilla family.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Day 3: Return to Kigali & Departure
