ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from Kampala or Entebbe.

Drive through Uganda’s countryside, passing rolling hills, tea plantations, farms, and local villages. You will stop at the Equator Line for photos before continuing towards western Uganda.

Lunch will be served en route, usually around Mbarara, before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, have dinner, and relax as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking experience.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.

You will be assigned a gorilla family and begin the trek through the forest with experienced ranger guides. The trek can take between 1 and 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas on the day.

Once the gorillas are found, you will spend one hour observing them as they feed, rest, move, and interact in their natural habitat. This is the main highlight of the safari and one of the most memorable wildlife experiences in Africa.

After the trek, return to your lodge for rest and relaxation.

In the afternoon, you may enjoy an optional Batwa cultural visit, depending on time and energy after the trek.

Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe

Day 4: Return to Entebbe or Kampala

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Entebbe or Kampala. Enjoy scenic views of rolling hills, terraced farms, local communities, and countryside landscapes along the way. You may have stopovers for lunch, photography, or the Equator line, depending on timing.

Arrive in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or at the airport for your onward flight.
